The template is on a layer above the setup provided by the book.
If you have done this exercise separately, import your PDF into the layer marked for PDF imports. You may then turn the eyes on the layers on and off to compare. The template is at 50% opacity, so you may also make a direct comparison.
If you use this file to make your piece, be sure to turn off the eye on the template before you export your PDF.
